This study provides data from patients and staff regarding their acceptability of artificial intelligence (AI) within digital surgical wound monitoring. The qualitative approach allowed for in-depth data collection and flexibility to explore new areas. There is a risk of selection bias, as patients who feel strongly about AI or are able to speak English are more likely to volunteer to participate.
