Magnitude of human papillomavirus vaccination uptake and its determinants among adolescent girls in Lesotho: a cross-sectional study.

Ethnic minority populations are disproportionately affected by crises and disasters globally, partly due to limited access to clear and accessible information. Understanding the factors that influence trust in sources of vital health information during emergencies is critical to supporting effective communication with ethnic minority communities during a health crisis. Levels of trust in community leaders and community-based organisations differed across community groups and were positively associated with individuals’ likelihood of seeking assistance or information. Government leaders, policymakers and community-based organisations need to examine the sources of information and trust in communication sources of ethnic minority populations when addressing crisis communication and pandemic planning.
