Abstract

Trust between primary care health professionals is essential Co-location, familiarity, competence, role differentiation, and effective communication facilitate trust formation. Perceived conflict of interests, lack of familiarity, and lack of professional role boundaries hindered trust formation. There is a perception among medical health professionals that trust needs to be earnt by non-medical colleagues.
