Abstract

Advances understanding of implementation pace by examining unequal diffusion of two innovations – disease-modifying therapies and transition-to-adult care practices – in pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis. Uses this contrast to demonstrate how determinants of implementation pace play out in real-world settings and positions speed as an actionable target for improving care delivery. Explicitly applies two frameworks focused on implementation pace to a clinical domain and embeds speed, ownership, and contextual fit into development of transition-to-adult care innovations.
