Abstract

The theory-driven, community-based participatory research-based systematic adaptation using the Stirman framework ensured transparent and reproducible documentation of all modifications. A comprehensive integration of extended family networks, traditional Ghanaian cultural practices and spirituality was achieved through genuine multi-stakeholder partnership. Considering the single-district, predominantly Dangbe cultural context, findings may require further adaptation for other Ghanaian ethnic groups.
