Abstract
This study used a large-scale, nationwide longitudinal dataset from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging spanning 16 years (2006–2022), allowing for the assessment of temporal changes. Generalised estimating equations were employed to rigorously analyse repeated measures and account for within-subject correlations inherent in the panel data structure. Frailty was evaluated using a multidimensional assessment tool specific to the Korean context, incorporating objective measures of physical weakness (grip strength) alongside social isolation and exhaustion.
