Abstract

Previous studies comparing childhood-onset SLE (cSLE) to adult-onset SLE (aSLE) have indicated potential differences in organ involvement, such as more frequent renal or haematological disease in cSLE. However, little is known about the long-term disease course and other longitudinal disease outcomes in these patients. This multicentre study is the first to show that time-adjusted disease activity in patients with cSLE remains high well into adulthood.
