Abstract
This review will systematically search major databases and trial registries without language or date restrictions. The review will include only individually randomised parallel-group controlled trials and will assess risk of bias using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool for randomised trials, version 2 tool. Two reviewers will independently conduct study selection, data extraction and risk-of-bias assessment, with disagreements resolved by discussion or consultation with a third reviewer.
