Abstract

During colonoscopy, patients can observe AI‐assisted detection and characterization in real‐time. Understanding patients' attitudes and how they may respond to the implementation of AI in colonoscopy is essential for maintaining their trust and ensuring compliance during the adoption of this new technology. AI‐assisted colonoscopy can improve the adenoma detection rate, potentially reducing the incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) [, ]. The use of AI‐assistance does not increase the risk of procedure‐related complications, supporting its safe use during colonoscopy [, ]. The AI system is being increasingly recognized as a valuable diagnostic tool by clinicians [], but the knowledge about patients' attitudes against AI‐assisted colonoscopy is limited [].
