Abstract

Social support is positively associated with family resilience and exhibited a direct predictive effect on family resilience. A significant chain-mediating effect of sense of coherence and adaptive coping was identified in the relationship between social support and family resilience. Interventions targeting the enhancement of the sense of coherence and development of adaptive coping mechanisms should be implemented to improve family resilience in young and middle-aged patients with coronary heart disease.
